Learn Arabic Step by Step

Arabic Step by Step is a language learning platform that provides learners with interactive activities designed to develop practical communicative skills as well as cultural competency. The course levels follow ACTFL proficiency guidelines.

Each unit uses multimedia tools to present various components: Vocabulary, Grammar, Pronunciation, Dialects and Culture. Engaging material and activities are selected to emulate real-life scenarios.

This course puts you in the driver’s seat, As a learner of Arabic you can navigate the course freely based on your interests, needs and pace. You will also be able to assess your own progress.

The only prerequisites are mastery of the Arabic Alphabet, so that you are confident in reading at the word level, and a passion for learning this beautiful language!

This site is a product of a collaborative work of 6 talented teachers of Arabic as a foreign language, with extensive and long experience teaching Arabic at the university level. We come from various backgrounds and geographical regions that will be reflected in the variety of material presented in our modules of learning Arabic. We all share a great interest and enthusiasm for applying new technologies in language learning and teaching. We also share a desire to make learning Arabic as a foreign and second language accessible to a wider population of learners.
